A. Thesaurus - Comes from Greek thesauros, meaning "storehouse, treasury," and its original sense was "dictionary or encyclopedia," but this was narrowed to the current meaning "collection of words arranged according to sense" with the appearance of Roget's in 1852.

In MS word, it helps us to improve our vocabulary by providing a list of other words with a similar meaning of the word selected

Q. How do you use Thesaurus in  MS Word

A. We can perform the below steps to use Thesaurus

  1. Select the word for which you want to find the synonym
  2. Click on Tools Menu
  3. Select language and choose thesaurus
  4. The research task pane will appear displaying the words with similar meaning and opposite
  5. Select the desired word and the word will be replaced in place of the previous word

  3. Click the CUT option
  4. Place the cursor at the desired location where you want to move the text
  5. Click the edit menu again
  6. Click the paste option. The text will be pasted in the new location in the document

It is very easy to delete a text from MS Word. Select the text to be deleted and press the Delete key
